There are endless places on this earth that God created for us to enjoy. We are thankful to have the opportunity to catch a glimpse of the grandeur that was spoken into creation. Our style of photography is to capture a moment in time exactly as seen with our own eyes.

Photographic prints and other photographic products are available. From small photographic notecards or large format metal prints for your office or home, we offer a variety of products. While this site is not made for photography, the best place to view some of our work is on our Instagram Page: @ascent_design_studios

We also offer Design Services so if you're in need of digital layouts prepared for print, we can help.

  • ADVENTURE

    One of the best perks of photographing landscapes is the journey. We are constantly asked if we use drones to take our photos, which we do not. The majority of places we travel to do not allow the use of drones. We prefer the old fashioned way of climbing by foot, bike, or skis.

  • TRAVEL

    Traveling is a wonderful way to experience other cultures and see how beautifully God made each one.

  • SOLITUDE

    In the hustle and bustle of the daily grind it's important to find some time to pause. The solitude of the mountains is where we like to spend some quality one on one time with our Heavenly Father.

  • Photographic Notecards

    High quality Photographic Notecard sets are available. Each set includes five notecards each with a scripture on the inside cover and a blank page for your message. Envelopes included. Two different sets are available.

  • Photographic Notebooks

    Photographic notebooks are also available. Each has a soft touch cover and a scripture on the inside cover. Lined pages help keep your thoughts and prayers organized.

  • Events

    We would love to meet you in person. If you like to ride bikes, ski, or hike we may see you out on the trail! Upcoming events will be posted. You can also keep up with us on Instragram.

    This is one of our favorite places to backcountry ski. The peaks surrounding the lake form a natural ampitheater where creation sings of Hi Majesty!

  • MOUNT LASSEN

    Winter in Lassen is simply spectacular. Back in the 90's I would go backcountry skiing here every weekend. 25 years later, my kids learned how to ski tour here. While this place may have Sentimental attachments, what I truly love is the snow...because it reminds me of God's love...it beautifies everything it touches.

  • ANCIENT BRISTLECONE PINE

    Found in isolated groves at high elevation (above 9,800 ft), Ancient Bristlecone Pines are some of the oldest trees on earth. The oldest of this species is more than 4,800 years old. These trees were designed to thrive in the harshest conditions and it's amazing to know the trees standing today were alive when Jesus was born.
